Black and White Bathroom with a View – the Edgcumbe Hotel, Bude, Cornwall, by Rick McEvoy Interior Photographer in Cornwall

These are the black and white interior images, converted to black and white using Nik Silver Efex Pro.

First up is the black and white conversion using just the natural pre-set, which is always a pretty good starting point, providing a strong black and white image.

Nothing more to do with this. I literally select “Edit in Nik Silver Efex Pro” from Lightroom, select “Edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments”, an 8 bit Tiff file is created which opens with the default Natural black and white pre-set. In this case I selected save, and it saved it back into Lightroom.

As the collection I am working in is synced in Lightroom Mobile it then syncs and is available everywhere, in my case on my IPhone 6 Plus. From there I can drop it into a blog post or upload to 500PX or whatever I want.

The next black and white conversion is a bit out there, where I selected the pre-set called Antique Plate Effect.

I guess you have to be selective with which pre-set you use for a certain image – I quite like this effect.

That’s it for the black and white conversions – as it’s a Friday I am going to post one more version of this shot using Nik HDR Efex Pro, which should prove interesting. I will do this later and post on my blog.

Thanks for reading todays post all about some different post processing of one of my interior photography pictures from Cornwall.

Something new tomorrow – a bit of IPhone Photography I think (not written it yet)
