Here is black and white image number 38 coming up. As I get to the end of this mammoth task I am enjoying doing the finishing off finally. After this image only two more to go. Again, I am writing the editing part of this as I actually edit the image. A good use of an iPad! By way of a brief digression this my IPad is more and more becoming my piece of kit of choice.
For this image I want all the detail and textures in this image. I want the content in the shadows, and I want bright highlights. I want the full dynamic range. Basically, I want it all.
High Structure Harsh was a bit harsh.
But isn't with Full Dynamic Harsh. These are portfolio images after all so I want them to pack a punch!
And for a change I added a green filter as all the filters have a marked impact on the look of the final image.
I pushed the Dynamic brightness a lot, to 39%
To finish I applied quite heavy big vignette, lens falloff 2.
Black and white image done.
Two more to go now. And these will be two internal shots from this building. After all I am following the colour portfolio image set, and those were two of the recent additions from the original set from my March review.
So that is the 20 architectural photography images individually converted into black and white pictures.
I think I need to think about posting each portfolio set in one single blog post. Well two blog posts, one for the colour images and one for the black and white images.
So now it is time to leave it until the morning when I will produce one of the two remaining portfolio images in black and white.
